6.3 Magnitude Earthquake Cued Back to Back Tremors in Chile

On November 4, 2016, at 16:20:44:45 UTC, a 6.3 Magnitude earthquake rattled through Maule, Chile, and cued back to back tremors in under an hour. The intense vibrations reached a depth of 80 km at coordinates 35.02 S and 70,84 W. Affecting neighboring cities, Santiago, Talca, and Teno, approximately 5,042,900 people was in danger.

Thirteen minutes after the 6.3 Magnitude earthquake at 16:33:48.0 UTC, tremors cued from a 4.4 Magnitude earthquake taunted Antofagasta, Chile, causing back to back ripples underneath the earth’s surface reaching 153 km. Occurring at coordinates 22.95 S and 68.31 W, an additional 537,000 people were affected.

Twenty minutes apart, two low-grade magnitude earthquakes generating tremors, developed back to back after a 6.3 Magnitude earthquake walloped several cities in Chile an hour prior.

Local authorities are assessing damages and have yet to report any fatalities. Cleanup crews have been dispatched to clean debris off of the roadways. Efforts to assess all damages are ongoing.

12 Dead, 4 Injured in Kenya Bombing

On October 25, 2016, at approximately 7:30 A.M GMT, after a bombing by Al-Shabaab (Muslim militant group), 12 people reported dead, and four reported injured in a Mandera lodge in Kenya, Africa.

According to Standard Digital, “Mandera’s responding officials have released their concerns regarding the plans implemented to extract everyone from the lodge; now turned into a pile of rubble.”

Shortly after an explosion set off, witnesses reported seeing a gunman carrying explosives, a machine gun, and ammunition; fleeing to the border heading towards Somalia.

Police officials have confirmed that this the second bombing claimed by Al-Shabaab this month. Efforts to capture the perpetrator responsible are underway.

Local authorities are trying to account for all of the people who were residing at the lodge at the time of the incident.

1 Dead, Several Injured in California Car Crash

On October 13, 2016, at approximately 3:00 A.M. PDT, a vehicle heading in the wrong direction westbound on the Freeway 10 in Montclair, California, caused a fatal multi-vehicle accident, leaving one dead and several others injured.

The California Highway Patrol Department released to the public that; “At least three vehicles were involved in a fatal collision after an erratic driver began to drive the wrong-way down Freeway 10 westbound in Montclair, California, leaving one dead in several others injured.”

Local authorities are unaware if the driver, driving the wrong-way down Freeway 10 was under the influence of any drugs or alcohol. Investigators are on the scene and intend to test the blood of all the drivers involved in the incident.

Names of the individuals involved will not be released until all families are notified of their loved ones condition. The California State Police Department and local fire department are on the scene working with investigators to resolve this issue.

1 Dead, 110 Injured in Hoboken, New Jersey Train Crash [Update]

On September 29, 2016, at approximately 8:30 A.M. EDT, a jam-packed commuter train on the Spring Valley line, crashed into the Hoboken Train Terminal, located at 1 Hudson Place, Hoboken, New Jersey 07030, leaving one confirmed dead and 110 other passengers injured.

According to USA Today, “The Passengers on the train came to a realization, that when the train was approaching the Hoboken Terminal, the train was going too fast to stop at the station. One bystander was standing on the Hoboken train platform and had gotten struck by falling debris.

The Hoboken Police Department, Hoboken Fire Department, Emergency Medical Technicians, and all other First Respondents, worked diligently to get all of the passengers to safety. Multiple onlookers posted several updates to social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter to confirm the steel beams, bricks, roofs caved in and showed pictures of several people covered in blood and debris.

New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie has confirmed thus far with the public, that the prior reports of three dead are false and he has only confirmed one dead, and 110 injured in the train crash in Hoboken, New Jersey.

It is unknown if local authorities were able to contact the families of the 110 passengers injured, and one left dead after a horrendous train crash in Hoboken, New Jersey.

Update:

  • The train crash presumed non-terrorist related.
  • The Federal Rail Administration is on the scene for a thorough investigation.
  • Multiple Units are at the collision site, continually clearing away all the debris.

Firefighters Battle Car Blaze in Nashville, Tennesse [Update]

On September 27, 2016, at approximately 10:51 A.M. CDT, firefighters were dispatched to battle a car blaze in a residential neighborhood in Nashville, Tennesse.

The Nashville Police Department has not released any information regarding what started the huge flames, and if there were any casualties at the time of incidence. The Nashville Fire Department question whether an accelerant was used. Firefighters are still battling the flames emitting into the atmosphere fro the car blaze in Nashville, Tennesse.

According to the Tennessean, “The unidentified vehicle was found located at 4213 Princess Lane, Nashville, Tennesse 37218. The Nashville Police Department and the Nashville Fire Department have not released any other information as of 11:30 A.M. CDT, to the public.

This story is still developing, and firefighters continue to battle the blaze coming from a car in Nashville, Tennesse.

Update: WKRN
The owner of the vehicle reported to the Nashville Police Department that, she started her car this morning, went back-and-forth loading her car, and just happened to see more and more smoke coming from the car. She attempted to collect her belongings from the vehicle before calling authorities when a flame sparked onto her house and rapidly set fire to the entire home. No reports of injuries at this time

44 Injured in New Jersey Double Bus Crash Inside Lincoln Tunnel [Update]

On September 26, 2016, at approximately 8:50 A.M. PDT, 44 people were injured in a double transit bus crash inside the middle section of the Lincoln Tunnel in New Jersey.

‘ABC7 NY’, reported that, “A transit bus carrying 37 passengers from Ridgefield, New Jersey, in route to the Port Authority Bus Terminal located at 625 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10018; rear-ended a fellow transit bus headed to the same location, which carried over 50 passengers.”

The New Jersey Police Department released at 10:25 A.M. PDT, in which both buses, debris, and all passengers injured in the double bus crash inside Lincoln Tunnel were cleared out of the middle section promptly.

According to ‘NBC New York,’ “44 passengers were hurt; the worst condition reported was a fractured jaw, all other injuries were non-life threatening.” As Lincoln Tunnel reopened around 11:30 A.M. PDT, all motorists traveling towards New York City endured strenuous delays.

The New Jersey Transit Authority along with the New Jersey Police Department, have not released publicly if the family members of those injured were informed about their loved ones. The current conditions of the 44 passengers injured inside Lincoln Tunnel during a double transit bus crash in New Jersey have not yet been updated.

64-Year-Old Stabbed 77 Times Before Being Set on Fire in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

On September 15, 2016, The Philadelphia Police Department in Pennsylvania, released that 64-year-old Robert Lynch was stabbed 77 times before being set on fire in an apartment in the city of Germantown.

The Philadelphia Fire Department responded on September 12, 2016, approximately at 9:00 A.M. EDT, to an apartment fire. Upon diffusing the fire, local firefighters found what they believed to be a body in advanced stages of deterioration.

According to ‘ABC6’, “The Medical Examiner in the state of Pennsylvania, has determined after a post-mortem examination that the 64-year-old male stabbed in Philadelphia was dead before being set on fire.”

The number of stab marks penetrating the body leads the Philadelphia Police Department to rule out the encounter between the victim and perpetrator being random. Neighbors of Lynch reported smelling a foul odor coming from his apartment since last week.

The Philadelphia Police Department has a person of interest regarding the 77-time stabbing of 64-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, who was later burned and are keeping it secret as the investigation continues. Updates to be posted as they are released.
