On September 15, 2016, The Philadelphia Police Department in Pennsylvania, released that 64-year-old Robert Lynch was stabbed 77 times before being set on fire in an apartment in the city of Germantown.
The Philadelphia Fire Department responded on September 12, 2016, approximately at 9:00 A.M. EDT, to an apartment fire. Upon diffusing the fire, local firefighters found what they believed to be a body in advanced stages of deterioration.
According to ‘ABC6’, “The Medical Examiner in the state of Pennsylvania, has determined after a post-mortem examination that the 64-year-old male stabbed in Philadelphia was dead before being set on fire.”
The number of stab marks penetrating the body leads the Philadelphia Police Department to rule out the encounter between the victim and perpetrator being random. Neighbors of Lynch reported smelling a foul odor coming from his apartment since last week.
The Philadelphia Police Department has a person of interest regarding the 77-time stabbing of 64-year-old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native, who was later burned and are keeping it secret as the investigation continues. Updates to be posted as they are released.
